Vanderpump Rules stars talk break-ups & new flames, spill engagement details

Vanderpump RulesKristen Doute speaks exclusively to, calling out co-star/ex-boyfriend James Kennedy and dishing on an upcoming onscreen engagement…

Without mentioning what appears to be a swollen and bruised eye, (UPDATE: Kristen’s black eye is the result from reconstructive surgery after she fell out of an Uber car. Thanks to our friends at Reality Tea for the scoop!) the reality star didn’t hold back on other juicy details. “Honestly, I felt sorry for him,” Kristen quips, when asked her reaction to last week’s outrageous new episode. Fans watched as Kennedy lied to her about getting physical with another cast member, then admitted to the cameras that he and Jenna Willis “were totally boning.”

So does Kristen have a new man, now that her and James are dunzo? She frequently posts Instagram photos cuddling with photographer Brian Carter. “Possibly, yeah, maybe. You kind of gotta wait and see,” she responds coyly. “But James and I are obviously completely over. That’ll air in the next week or two, like kind of the final break-up. And then the first time I was ever single in my entire life was this summer.”

Upcoming episodes will also reveal the long-awaited engagement of Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney. “I better end up in their wedding. I’m the one who introduced the two of them,” Kristen exclaims. “I feel like she owes it to me!”

Another familiar face from Vanderpump Rules, Rachael O’Brien, also chatted with me. While she appeared in only a few episodes last season fans will see much more of Jax Taylor‘s ex-girlfriend this time around. What does she have to say about the notorious playboy’s new flame, Brittany Cartwright? “She’s adorable. I love her,” adding “I think she’s good for him and she’s so cute.”
