I’ve loved watching Saved by the Bell since I was ten. Reruns are now on MTV2 and as the first and only season of The College Years unfolds I wonder what happened to Leslie, Alex and Mr. Rogers…
We all know Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s career stayed hot and Mario Lopez is a successful TV host. But some of their co-stars have disappeared from the small screen. Like Anne Tremko. She played Leslie, the smart, wealthy girl who almost stole Zack’s heart. Anne appeared on a lot of hit TV shows, working steadily until 2003. It is believed she then got married, moved to Texas and has only recently tried to resurrect her acting career.
Everyone loved Mike Rogers, the gang’s resident advisor and former pro football player. Actor Bob Golic really did play for the NFL from 1979-1992. He then became a sports reporter and did a little acting, in addition to SBTB. Now he works for the Lingerie Football League. Yes, that is a real thing.
Remember Alex, the quirky, redheaded roommate? Her name is Kiersten Warren and she’s almost fifty years old. Kiersten was in several episodes of Desperate Housewives and had small roles in a lot of big movies. She still does guest spots on popular shows.
Makes you wonder where today’s hot TV stars are going to be in a decade or two. Annalynne McWho? Chord career Overstreet? We’ll see!
